He was born into a family in Vilakkupara, located near Anchal and around 40 kilometers (km) from Kollam in Kerala, India. He was the tenth and last kid in his family. His father worked as a ticket examiner for a private bus company. Between the years 1987 to 1990, he attended Milad-E-Sherief Memorial College in Kayamkulam to get his bachelor’s degree in physics.
